Great bar, the vibes are very welcoming. The decor was dark but wonderful at the same time (if that makes sense) worth a visit if you want something different

This is a safe, inclusive bar with Gothic and punk themes. The staff overseeing the event did great. Everything was well organized and the sound for the metal show I was there for was top-notch. I will definitely will return with friends! Thank you Missfits.

The best dive bar in Appleton. It’s clear that this is a local favorite. Great regular crowd and even better bartenders - Shoutout to Lucia. Plenty of events to keep you entertained. Come here ready to socialize and you’ll have a great time.

This WAS my favorite bar in Appleton until I just went there with my 82 year old mother who uses a walker. They refused to serve us and refused to explain. I think that is discrimination plain and simple. I refuse to support a supposedly non biased establishment and I hope none of you do either. We simply walked in and the owner and the bartender both refused to serve us. I will call the proper authorities and file a complaint to try and take their license for this.

Missfits Tavern – Where the Tornado Missed, but the Vibes Hit! Last Thursday night, stranded in the swirling chaos that is Appleton, WI weather (seriously, Mother Nature was throwing hands with tornado warnings), I decided to brave the storm and meet the local wildlife — aka the fine folks at Missfits Tavern. Now, let’s be honest: turnout was... let’s call it “exclusive.” A grand total of four brave souls and one absolute legend of a bartender named Lucia (that’s Loo-SEE-ah, thank you very much — shorten it at your own risk). Despite the empty barstools, the atmosphere was electric. We jammed to killer tunes, bonded over a game show, and vibed out to an electronic music festival Lucia had playing on one of the TVs — which, fun fact, she was supposed to be attending, but she took the shift so her friend could go instead. That’s the kind of bartender energy we need more of: responsible, yet still cool enough to blast EDM at work. We laughed. We jammed. We watched The Godfather with subtitles while headbanging. It was like a cinematic rave mixed with small-town Midwestern charm and a splash of existential storm drama. The drinks? On point. The bartender? Top-tier. The crowd? Small, weird, wonderful. The experience? 10/10, would absolutely dodge a tornado again to vibe here. Stay weird, Missfits. You’ve got yourself a fan.

Nick from North Dakota, the one who owned a Brewery, if you’re seeing this, please come back. $1 Hamms? Goated. DARTS?!!? Goated. Who up Missin they Fits! AHHHH. As the hidden 8th Wonder of the World, I am profoundly grateful to count this establishment among my hometown’s distinctions. A delicacy of the highest order, it feels less constructed than bestowed, an inspired convergence of atmosphere, character, and purpose that borders on the divine. One could be forgiven for believing it was not built, but revealed. A composer leaves behind a magnum opus, a painter a definitive masterpiece, Appleton, in turn, offers Misfits. More than a tavern, it stands as a cultural relic and a modern shrine to refined chaos, where intention and spontaneity coexist in perfect balance. To enter is not merely to visit, but to partake in something quietly transcendent.
